December is the season for giving and gifting, and The Friends of the Library has you covered at their Merry Little Book Sale event.
"This is definitely a celebration and an event more than just a sale," says Manager of Library Programs, Leslie Mehle.
The Friends of the Library receive book donations throughout the year, and many of those books are in nearly new shape. Putting these pristine items up for sale is not only a bargain for the buyer, but it also helps support the library. At the book sale, hardcover fiction and nonfiction are priced at $3 each, paperbacks are 2 for $1, and you can find entire seasons of television shows on DVD for $3.
"You could go in a bookstore and find an item for probably ten times the price," adds Mehle.
The sale will take place in the Atrium of the Superior Public Library on Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 10am-2pm. The event also includes free gift wrapping, a quilt raffle, music, decorations, cookies and refreshments.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
