Since 2023, the Doc & Talk series at Zeitgeist has been featuring movies and documentaries that explore our transportation system as part of their Transportation Equity Initiative.
This Thursday at 6pm the theatre will feature Autonomy, a history and development of self-driving cars and their social implications. In conjunction with the series, two union workers and local organizers will be talking about the harm of automation in the workplace.
In 2025, Zeitgeist plans to start a new Doc & Talk series with a focus on community change, and how younger generations can take part in community action.
"We identified that there were people who weren't able to attend because of transportation barriers," said Community Development Manager Andrea Crouse. "We do have a contact on our webpage. People can reach out if they need transportation to and from."
