Sometimes a gathering of friends who enjoy watching movies together can transform. After convening around private television screens for some time, the Classic Film Series was born and took on a more public mission. "What if we centralize it and make it for the whole community," recalls Jody Kujawa, one of the instigators behind the series.
This Sunday, Kujawa - along with co-founders Justin Peck and Jason Scorich - will wrap up another season of the Classic Film Series with a screening of American Graffiti. "It has that nostalgia... good summer movie," says Kujawa. There is an optional conversation about the film following the screening that all are welcome to participate in.
The Classic Film Series screening of American Graffiti is this Sunday, August 11th at 6pm at Zeitgeist. More information is available on the Zeitgeist website.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
