The Pulitzer Prize winning play, Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire opens this weekend at the College of St. Scholastica.
Director Sharon Dixon Obst has added several director credits to her resume over recent years, and this fall she's also taken on the role of Director of Theater at CSS. "This is the first show I'm directing as the Director of Theater," says Obst about Rabbit Hole, a family drama surrounding the death of a child and the varying degrees and reactions to grief.
The script calls for a small cast of five actor. "I do prefer working with a small cast," says Obst who has implemented techniques to create a more powerful emotional connection between cast members. The intimate play will be held in the similarly intimate setting of the CSS Theatre. "You are right there, and you can see the family, and you can see and feel the emotions that they are feeling."
