Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with John Waters

Man in shiny brown suit, sunglasses, and a pencil thin mustache poses with his chin resting on his fist
Greg Gorman

Famed filmmaker and writer John Waters is making his way to the West Theater in Duluth on October 25th and 26th for his spoken word comedy show Devil's Advocate. Tickets to see the life-long Baltimore resident, contrarian, and avant-garde director are available on the West Theater website.

Like most people, John Waters has a deep history with music. Unlike most people, his first album was shoplifted, his first concert found him the victim of a beatdown, and his guilty pleasure song is singular in its 'guilty pleasure' status. "It's a ludicrous ballad. None of the other ones are guilty."
