Where's Art: Reflections

As always, Annie Dugan has a list of art opportunities in the Northland.

This Friday, September 8th from 5-7pm is the opening of Nordic Reflections at the Nordic Center of Duluth. The event is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Duluth Fiber Guild. Along with the opening, there will be various educational experiences offered for children, novices, and fiber veterans.

Local artist Amy Varsek opens a show at MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids. The show is titled Remnants Within and is comprised of many found-art pieces by the artist.

And for a little bit of everything, Lyric Opera of the North, Renegade Theater Company, the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra, Wise Fool Theater, the Minnesota Ballet, the Duluth Playhouse, and Lake Superior Youth Chorus are coming together on Thursday, September 7th at 6:30pm at Wade Stadium for the Season Splash celebrating the return of live music, dance, and theater.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
