On the cusp of the 37th annual Pride Celebration in the Twin Ports, Annie Dugan saw good reason to make "Pride" the theme for this week's edition of Where's Art.

On Thursday, August 31st, the opening reception for the Folks of Duluth exhibit will run from 4-5pm at the Duluth Public Library in downtown. The exhibit will also be on display from 6-8pm at Zeitgeist Arts the following night. The exhibit includes works from local artists and was organized by the Duluth Superior Pride Committee.

This year at the State Fair, several Northland artists have works featured in the Fine Arts Building. The Fair will also feature a different artist on each of the twelve days of the Fair. The chosen artist will work "in-studio" for 12 hours to showcase the behind-the-scenes aspects of an artist's workday. On August 31st, that artist is Matt Kania.

And on the adjudicating side of things, Debbie Cooter from Two Harbors was selected to be a State Fair Juror for fine arts at the Fair this year.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
