MN Reads: "Where the Deer Dream" by Sarah Bamford Seidelmann

Sarah Bamford Seidelmann

Sarah Bamford Seidelmann brought a lot of her experience with spiritual non-fiction to her first novel. Stepping away from memoires and into fiction was also freeing for the author. "You don't have to ask anybody's permission - you have ultimate freedom," says Seidelmann.

Where the Deer Dream follows Meera, adopted from South America and living with her now-single mother. Her aspirations to become a designer are met with drastic life changes. Navigating these disruptions becomes the heart of Meera's journey.

Seidelmann's first swing at fiction has garnered a Northeastern Minnesota Book Award nomination. The news was received with both excitement and humility. "This area is so rich in amazing authors and writers and I feel so blessed to get to do what I love."

More information can be found at Seidelmann's website, Follow Your Feel Good.
