This week Duluth artist Ann Klefstad joins us to talk about "Flight," her new show at Zeitgeist with Bridget Riversmith, as well as the "The Art of Local Food" event happening this week.Klefstad shares her new work in a conversation about the courage and strength conjured up by painting with sumi ink, the black Chinese ink she uses in her latest work. This work is on display in the new show "Flight," up at Zeitgeist Arts Cafe, along with the work of Bridget Riversmith.
Also in the mix this week is the annual fundraiser event for the Duluth Community Garden Program, "The Art of Local Food." Happening at The Depot, Thursday Feb 26, this event is inspired by the local fresh food movement, local gardeners, and top local chefs. A free cocktail hour 6-7pm allows for anyone to participate in the art auction/sale. Dinner happens at 7 and is almost sold out!
