Women's Words on November 18, 2012 again featured Amy Jo Swing of Duluth, this time reading a chapter called "Lollypop, Lollypop" from her middle grade novel-in-progress called Mo the Mouse and the Train of Words.

Amy Jo Swing has been writing poetry seriously since ninth grade algebra. Since then, she has been blessed enough to receive a McKnight/Loft poetry grant as well as several poetry contest awards and writing retreat stays. In the last few years, she has also turned to writing children's fiction and poetry, often in the same project. She lives and works in Duluth, Minnesota with her partner and their two daughters.
