Washington Studios will be featuring the work of Barb Savage and Sharon Postance in an exhibit titled "Moving Along." The opening reception is held on Friday, August 5th from 6-8 p.m. at Washington Studios located at 315 N. Lake Ave. Duluth, MN.

Barb Savage is a painter from Duluth, MN who has been painting since the age seventeen and works primarily with oil. She joins Radio Gallery this week to talk about her collaboration with artist Sharon Postance to create the exhibit "Moving Along" being featured at Washington Gallery with an opening reception held on Friday, August 5th from 6-8 p.m. The work within the exhibit is inspired by the natural world with a focus on movement and color. Savage shares the experiences that have inspired her paintings, and how the mechanics of water from the observation of an artist has transformed her work. The paintings of Barb Savage and the paper vessels of Sharon Postance can be seen at Washington Studios located at 315 N. Lake Ave. Duluth, MN.

Former Program Director, Maija Jenson teaches journalism in the Department of Communication at UMD and was a part of KUMD 2008-2019. She hosted a weekly arts program "Radio Gallery." She shares a lifetime of public radio listening, degrees in journalism and art and 20 years of public radio experience with KFAI, WHA, WSUM and KUMD.
