Radio Gallery 02-17-10: Ta-Coumba Aiken
Hosted by Maija Morton.
Although Aiken has had exhibitions at the MAEP before (including "Call and Response"), he considers it an honor to be a part of the "Foot in the Door" show with so many other great Minnesota artists. Aiken came to Minneapolis in 1970, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Since then, he has been teaching, being a part of exhibitions, and painting murals on skyways, parking ramps, and buildings. He is also on the MAEP Artists Panel. Hear Aiken tell some of the stories behind his artwork, as well as describe his vision for ''Foot in the Door.''
