This soulful musician, nicknamed "The Feelin'," paid his dues on Minnesota's music scene as a solo artist as well as playing with the White Iron Band and releasing an album with Teague Alexy. in 2012 his career got a boost when he was a finalist on season 3 of popular reality show The Voice. He's since released several EPs and albums; we caught up with him on December 12, 2025, shortly after the release of his latest album, More Than Music. The North's Christine Dean talked with David about the new album and about how family anchors everything he does, and he performed songs from the release live in the studio.
