6/8 The Congdon Legacy: Chester Congdon

WILLIAM A. DYCHE

You may know the Congdon name from Glensheen: The Historic Congdon Estate on Lake Superior in Duluth. It was the home of Chester Congdon and his family, but he was not your typical Duluth tycoon.

He was a leader in the community, the state and of the country. He worked as a lawyer, a United States Attorney for Minnesota, chief council to some of the most successful mining companies of his time, a successful business man, and did you know – a Minnesota legislator. Listen for more about the man behind the mansion.
