"The Basement" is now "Road Salt Radio"

Student-led radio has been a fixture of 103.3 for decades and, due largely to location, has been focused on UMD students. In an effort to open the doors to students from other campuses, the student-led portion of the station is now going by Road Salt Radio. New name, logos, t-shirts, and more are expected, but the format will stay the same. Student DJs will still be leading the way.

As part of rolling out the new name, Road Salt Radio is hosting a concert on Friday night, January 20th featuring the Stillwater-based group The Shackletons. The show will be at the Great Hall of the Depot in Duluth. Doors are at 7pm, music starts at 8pm. The show is free for everyone, and students who bring their student ID will be entered for a chance to win a Road Salt Radio T-shirt.
