Can you see the doe and fawn?

The days are long, and we've gotten a healthy dose of rainfall. Summer is ready to burst onto the scene this Sunday.

Judy Gibbs (filling in this week for Larry Weber) has had some interesting sightings in her backyard including ground hogs and gray foxes. Seeing fawns and their mothers is also a fairly common occurrence during this mid-June days. And even for those in the Northland that live in an urban area, the wildness of the region is never far away. A short walk or bike ride can easily bring residents close-up with nature.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
