Warm temperatures are arriving early this March; two days have already set record highs. Though March has - in the past - been known as the snowy month, recent trends in climate have changed that.

Beyond the warm temps, professionals and amateurs alike are keeping an eye on spring migration. From the vantage point of Enger Park, Bald Eagles and other raptors are being counted. And there are some birds sounding off in the woods; Larry Weber has heard turkeys lingering nearby multiple times.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
