From November 11th-22nd, delegates from across the globe are congregating in Baku, Azerbaijan for The Conference of the Parties (COP29). This year, like previous years, Minnesota-based Climate Generation is sending a group of delegates to the conference to support actions and decisions for a greener future.

Youth Program Manager Ramiro Vasquez Jr. has been responsible for preparing the Climate Generation group for the journey. For some members of the young delegation, it will be the first time traveling overseas.

This year, the focus for many is on climate education and youth involvement. For Vasquez, who is Ojibwe, indigenous issues are of particular importance. "I'm planning to focus the majority of my time with IPO, which is the Indigenous Peoples Organization."

To learn more about Climate Generation or to follow the happenings at COP29, there is a newsletter that will encompass the experiences of delegates at the conference.

You can hear Green Visions at 8:20am every Wednesday on Northland Morning.
