With September officially in the books, the month will go down as the second driest September of all time.
Now it's time to see what October has in store. Temps are dropping and frost is beginning to show up periodically. More signs of autumn are the early setting sun, the demise of summer wildflowers, and the end of dew-dappled spider webs.
And the leaves are finally starting to show their colors. Aspens are one of the species trees leading the charge. Currently, the area boasts 50-75% leaf color. For up-to-date info about leaf changing, visit the Minnesota DNR Fall Color Finder online.
