Backyard Almanac: Wild Weather Week

"We could probably spend the whole time talking about the weather," says Larry Weber. Indeed, it was a whacky week of weather swings. Temps got low and rainy, and - perhaps more impactfully - they got sunny and hot. Labor Day saw the highest temperature every recorded in the month of September at 97 degrees.

Beyond the weather, migration continues, the grey tree frogs keep sticking around, and the spider webs are still supplying some morning splendor. Keep your eyes open for leaves and apples; both are starting to change color.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.
