Green Visions: Non toxic home care

    Leading up to this Saturday's Lake Superior Harvest Festival at Bayfront Park, we continue our KUMD Sustainability Week series with a conversation with Sarah Lerohl, Environmental Program Coordinator at the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) and we are talking about composting, and non-toxic homecare practices.

Sarah Lerohl has been with WLSSD since 2010, with responsibilities including outreach and education in the areas of Household Hazardous Waste and Pollution Prevention. Lerohl holds a B.A. degree in Biology from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and a M.Ed. in Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota- Duluth.

Chris Harwood is The North 1033’s Production Director and (acting) Program Director, a morning/daytime host, and the host of Soul Village. He is also a musician, a music historian, an audio engineer, and an avid record collector.
