In the musical Ride the Cyclone, a group of kids get into a roller coaster accident and perish. Whiling away their time in purgatory, each one of them gets a chance to make their case for returning to the realm of the living.
On October 22-24, Denfeld High School will present Ride the Cyclone in their newly finished black box theater space. "It's really intimate, which I think adds to the show," says Lucien, who plays The Amazing Karnak in the show. "It brings the audience more into it."
"We're right there," says Izzie, who plays the character Ocean. The smaller space allows for actors to present their lines and songs very close to the audience while also utilizing the adaptable set to create changing environments. "I'm so excited to have an audience and get to do some of these numbers."

You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
