"It is that time of year, when people are talking about that thinning veil," says Annie Dugan. "It's an unsettling time, it's a reconnection time to the space beyond." This week in the Northland, there are several art projects and gatherings that lean into this ritualistic and explorative time of year.

Paula Williams and Susan Ranfranz have been working on creating a space to process grief in community. They'll be leading the event Altars of Grief and Remembrance: A Ritual and Art Experience happening at Spirit of the Lake Community on October 19th, 27th and November 3rd. Participants can attend one or all session to create a 3-D art piece inspired by the Mexican ofrenda.

A few other things to keep in mind, North Shorror! is on display now through November 1st at Zeitgeist, the All Soul's Night celebration will be happening on November 7th at the Depot, and if you're still working on what to be for Halloween, Rebel Threads in Superior has costumes for purchase or to rent.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
