The Jolly Pops - a group of happy dads that started a band - are heading to the Northland for their Arrowhead Library Regional Tour.
"I like to think of us as a high energy, interesting family music band," says Jolly Pops founding member Billy Hartong. "You'll also find a pig and an alligator puppet who, if you ask them, they are most definitely the stars of the show." On June 17th, the Jolly Pops start their northern tour in Marble, make several stops in Duluth, Cloquet, Two Harbors, Moose Lake, and more, and close out their tour in Carlton on June 27th.
This is the band's first trip to the Northland and they're looking forward to bringing their tunes to young kids as well as to their older siblings. "Our demographic is really 2-8 years old, but there's lots to enjoy outside of that age range," says Hartong. For more information about the tour and the band, visit the Jolly Pops website and find them on social media. Their music is also available through many streaming services and on YouTube.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
