This Tuesday, April 21st is the Annual Member Show at the Duluth Art Institute. "This is an event and exhibition that brings together people in our community who have been making art throughout the year," says Annie Dugan. "It's like the most wonderful, delicious show-and-tell." The event begins at 5pm with jazz music followed by recognitions and the reception. This year, participants were asked to work with the theme We Hold These Truths. The event will feature new and established artists and a wide variety of mediums. More information can be found on the Duluth Art Institute website.
On Friday, April 24th, Halcyon House in downtown Duluth will host their next Tea Talk. The talk begins at 5:30pm and will feature Gina Temple-Rhodes speaking about old postcards from Duluth. "Postcards were sort of the original selfie and form of social media in the early 1900s," says Dugan. More information about the event and tickets can be found on the Halcyon House website.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
