For fifteen years now, Wussow's has been hosting a monthly gathering of local writer's sharing their work. The Writer's Salon happens every third Thursday of the month and allows patrons to share their stories.
From 6-8pm, writers each take a 10-minute turn to share poetry, essays, short stories, personal stories, comedy, or just about anything else. For Tina Higgins-Wussow, the big thing is taking that first step and sharing your work - especially for introverted writers. "It's scary at first," says Tina. "Don't give up. You have something to say, and people want to hear it."
To sign up for the Writer's Salon, find Tina at Wussow's before 6pm on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Reading is not a requirement to attend. Showing up to simply enjoy the presentations by writers is encouraged.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
