Back in the 90s, Erik Koskinen was just a kid from the U.P. making regular trips to Duluth to play shows at the Brewhouse. Since then, he's become a fixture of the Minnesota music scene and beyond. This month, Erik returns to the Twin Ports with a residency at the Cedar Lounge - he'll be performing every Thursday night in February. More information about Erik's performances can be found on his website.
As a youth, Erik collected bottles and cans for the ten-cent deposit in Michigan to earn enough money to buy his first album. His time spent in Colorado led to his first concert by an iconic musician with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. And as guilty pleasure songs go, Erik leans into a catchy pop tune called Bad Habits. "Whatever's a great melody and a great song that everyone can sort of tap their feet too and sing along to - that's a lost art."
