Bill McMurray discovered a love for singing at a young age when he accidentally landed a choir solo at his church. With some encouragement through the years, Bill found his calling with opera. He's performed across the country, overseas, and will be in this weekend's Lyric Opera of the North production of Amahl and the Night Visitors happening on The Depot stage in Duluth from January 23rd-25th. Tickets and information can be found on the LOON website.

Bill wasn't alone in his first album purchase - it's one of the all-time bestsellers. His first concert experience found him tracking down the artists at their hotel, and subsequently freestyle rapping for them. And his guilty pleasure song is a tune that he never knew he had in common with his mother. "It's in my church jam, it's in my diva jam, that's one I always gravitate towards."

You can learn more about Bill on his website.
