The Tweed Museum of Art has been active for 75 years, and in that time has accrued quite the collection. "It's got a deep bench of art," says Annie Dugan.
Currently, the Tweed is hosting the UMD Faculty Biennial. Until February 27th, patrons will be treated to work produced by the faculty of the university. "What I'm always struck with when is see this work is just the ways that the art and design professors and instructors are connecting with the role of art in our world," says Dugan. The exhibit includes work from Alison Aune, Brian Barber, and many others.
Also on display are several mini exhibits that allow specific UMD classes to showcase work. Keep your eyes open for the portrait exhibit at the entrance and a 75th anniversary celebration. More information about the museum can be found on the Tweed's website.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
