Sometimes there's art all over, and sometimes it all comes into focus. This week, the focus is on Superior, Wisconsin.

At the Kruk Gallery at the University of Wisconsin Superior, In Siam is on display. The exhibit is collection of paintings by Superior-based artist and Vietnam veteran Sterling Rathsack. "In recognition of the fiftieth anniversary of the end of US involvement in Vietnam, we are looking back to a series of paintings that Sterling did in the 90s recalling his service," says Annie Dugan, curator of the Kruk gallery. "It's a really beautiful look at this one individual's experience." A gallery celebration will take place this Thursday from 5-7pm.

On Saturday, January 31st, The Lake Superior Ice Festival will take place all day in Superior. From 9am-7pm there will be ice sculptures, fire dancers, blacksmith demonstrations and more all around town. Maps, events and more can be found online.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
