If you can't wait five more months for the 8-day music festival, Homegrown's got your fix with the Winter Fiasco on Friday, January 9th.
"It's been over a decade," says co-curator Kala Moria about the history of the Homegrown Winter Fiasco. The free, one-night event can be seen as an appetizer for Homegrown fanatics, but it's also an opportunity for outreach. "It gives us a good chance to talk about homegrown. It's also a good chance for us to connect with some potential volunteers for the weeklong festival."
This year's Homegrown Winter Fiasco will be focused on West Duluth. Four venues - all within easy walking distance from each other - will feature 12 different musical acts. The night kicks off at Wussow's Concert Cafe with MN Vice and closes with an 11pm show by Jumpsuit at the Gopher Bar & Grill.
More information and the complete schedule can be found on the Homegrown website.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
