Where's Art: Film and Literature for the Dark Days

As the solstice approaches and the days continue to get darker, we can still find light and illumination in film and literature.

The first trailer for Ish Meets a Mermaid has been released. The short film by local artist Jonathan Thunder is in its early stages of looking for film festivals. Thunder is a celebrated veteran of the visual and film mediums.

The Made In Duluth Film Series is hosting a Holiday Edition on Sunday, December 21st at Duluth Depot. There will be screenings of Merry Kiss Cam at 1pm and Rescuing Christmas as 3pm, with a Q&A with producer Mandy June Turpin at 2:30pm.

Annie Dugan also has some recommendations for reading about art and art adjacent subjects. The Art Spy, The Antidote, and History is Painted by the Victors top Annie's list.
