Snow has blanketed the Northland, and the magical time of the calendar year has begun. This week, Annie Dugan highlights two Winter Markets in the area where you can find a variety of artists and their offerings.

This Saturday and Sunday at the DECC is the annual Winter Village. "It's a wonderful showcase of the local designers that we have in our community," says Dugan. The arts go beyond the visual at this seasonally festive event. Expect a few venders who focus on the culinary arts.

The upcoming weekend also includes Julebyen in Knife River. The Norwegian Winter Market is a highlight for many. "It's much, much more than a winter market, it's a family outing extraordinaire," says Dugan. Expect candy, forging, storytelling, and trolls!

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
