Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Mike Scholtz

Mike Scholtz

Mike Scholtz has a penchant for adding a bit of humor to all of his documentary film productions. As the producer of Minnesota Historia, Scholtz is a part of the team that picked up some hardware at the recent Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards.

Mike's first album purchase goes back to the time of cassettes and includes music that goes back even further still. His first concert was of a new wave band with an agenda. And his guilty pleasure song is probably the most controversial of all Christmas standards. "The song is fraught with problems."

Back Tracks receives support from Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union. You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
