Where's Art: Make Your Own Halloween Costume

Halloween is just around the corner, and it's time to finalize decisions about costumes.

It's easy enough to purchase something off the rack in order to get into the spirit of the season, but for Annie Dugan, making your own costume and approaching the process with creativity and artistry is a world worth exploring. "I want everyone to experience the joy of making something with your hands," says Dugan. Even starting with something as simple as a box can lead to interesting results.

And if making a costume that represents something in the physical world isn't fulfilling enough, Dugan suggests tackling a concept. "What does excitement look like as a costume? What does puzzlement look like as a costume... maybe push yourself and challenge yourself."

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
