Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Lizz Winstead

A woman with glasses, white shirt and blue jeans, reclining on a grey couch

Lizz Winstead is returning to The West Theatre on October 17th for a one-night-only comedy show. The comedian and co-creator of "The Daily Show" has an ear to the news and politics, but she's not above laughing at silly animal videos. For tickets to Lizz Winstead's performance, visit The West Theatre's website.

Diving back into her music history, Lizz recalls purchasing the first album from a superstar after the demise of his original group, and her first concert was a mandate from her disgruntled babysitter. Though she doesn't believe in guilty pleasures, anyone who knows Lizz would be curious as to why she has an affinity for a song by a certain hyper-masculine, gun-toting musician. "It's one of his not-weird, sexist, or jail-baity songs."
