Routine and regularity changed for everyone in 2020. For John Noltner and his wife, it was time to sell the house, hit the road, and explore the boundaries of an increasingly divided nation.
In Lessons on the Road to Peace, Noltner gives voice to individuals across the United States, particularly those voices that are not often heard. "We set out on the road to meet interesting people doing interesting things and looking for creative solutions to some of our most challenging issues," says Noltner. "We went to the border to talk about immigration, we went to Mississippi to talk about race and confederate monuments."
Alongside testimonials and quotes are photographs of the diverse settings and people that Noltner met on his journey. Though the images highlight a changing landscape and people from all walks of life, the messages are similarly passionate and focused on a better world. "We're not as divided as we're told, we're not as divided as we feel."
