After a successful first season of The Great Minnesota Recipe, there seemed to be room for a second helping. "We just didn't get enough," says host Sharon Yung. "It's pretty evident that the audience wanted more."
The show follows three Minnesotans who bring forth their unique take on the classic Minnesota term "hot dish." The show allots time for each cook to produce their meal while meeting some basic stipulations, but the focus is on learning and exploring. "I'm actually a big home cook," says host Shannon Laing. "It's always fun to see what other people are bringing to the table."
Season 2 of The Great Minnesota Recipe premieres on Thursday, June 8th at 8pm on PBS North. Subsequent episodes will air each of the following three Thursdays at 7pm.
