Between late night impromptu gigs, attending avant-garde shows, and taking in the music-rich community during the Twin Port's unique holiday, Clif Nesseth made the most of the 2023 Homegrown Music Festival.

In his first year as a Homegrown performer, Nesseth performed five different times including with his band Ponyfolk on Saturday night at One Stop Shop. In 2022, Nesseth was able to attend the Homegrown Music Festival, but not perform. "It was really fun to get into the coffee shop one of the mornings and see New Salty Dog playing, and then fast forward to this year and I've been lucky enough to do some playing with the Mahon brothers."

"The community is amazing up here," says Nesseth who grew up in a small town and recently relocated to Duluth. "Coming in from the outside, [Duluth] is just the right size."
