With the end of the year looming, Annie Dugan has a few recommendations that could angle listeners toward some attainable resolutions regarding creative living.

Emily Vikre (perhaps best known through Vikre distillery in Canal Park) explores the overlap between senses and has recently started an avenue for sharing that with a larger community. Vikre’s new podcast Art of the Aperitif touches on these tones. So far, there are three episodes that include conversations with visual artists about creativity in its many facets. You can listen wherever you get your podcasts

Additionally, Dugan has a literary recommendation to cap 2022. ”I always love at this time of year to do an end of the year round up of books,“ says Dugan. Letters to Gwen John by Celia Paul is a “lovely look at how you maintain a creative practice."

"Art brings us together," says Dugan. "It provides a space for us to connect."
