There's a festive week ahead with three art parties.

The Duluth Art Institute hosts their Masquerade Gala that will include music and comedy, as well as drag presented by Zenith City Horror. RuPaul's Drag Race-star Utica will also be making an appearance. “Amazing outfits, incredible make-up, hair styles alongside pretty amazing art,” says Annie Dugan of the event. The Gala takes place this Thursday, October 27th.

On Saturday from 6-9pm is the celebration of the 5th Anniversary of Duluth Pottery, Tile & Gallery in Lincoln Park. Karin Kramer is the driving force behind the project. “There will be a food truck, costumes will be encouraged... [it] will be a way to celebrate,” says Dugan.

The Knotty Carvers of the North are having a wood carving show from 10am-3pm at St. Luke’s Sports and Event Center in Proctor. The show is free and there will be demonstrations, displays, and carvings for sale. "It is a chance to see all the amazing things that folks do with the wood around us," says Dugan.
