For Amber Haglund-Pagel, the journey to Spain started back in Baudette, Minnesota. Whenever she got bored, her mother instructed her to "do a puzzle."
Today, jigsaw puzzles are not just a way to pass the time, they're a competition. Haglund-Pagel recently returned from the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship in Spain where she and her team finished 3rd.
And somewhere between the rainy-day past-time and the world-class competitions, Haglund-Pagel has found a source of comfort from puzzles. "There are so many things in life that don't fit... in puzzles everything is perfectly set out. You put it together and it feels like you've accomplished something."
