Radio Gallery: Chholing Taha

Chholing Taha

Chholing Taha brings her work to the Duluth Art Institute this month in a show called “Every Spirit Tells a Story.” Her bright and vibrant paintings inspired by Great Lakes tribes opens with a reception and artist talk on Thursday, July 12, from 6-9 pm

Painter and ceremonial shawl maker Chholing Taha is a Cree First Nations artist is originally from Quebec and New York state but now is based in Minnesota.  You can hear more from her at the artist talk on July 12, the exhibit is on display through September 2, 2018.

Chholing Taha

Former Program Director, Maija Jenson teaches journalism in the Department of Communication at UMD and was a part of KUMD 2008-2019. She hosted a weekly arts program "Radio Gallery." She shares a lifetime of public radio listening, degrees in journalism and art and 20 years of public radio experience with KFAI, WHA, WSUM and KUMD.
