Painters from far and wide come to the North Shore each year, sometimes even in the winter, for a festival and art competition. It’s Plein Air Grand Marais, a gathering of painters creating in the outdoors across Cook County, Minnesota.
Participating artists have contributed work to an exhibit that follows the festival. The "2015 Plein Air Grand Marais Exhibition" is on display at the Johnson Heritage Post and the Grand Marais Art Colony through November 15, 2015. Minnesota painter Tom McGregor joins Radio Gallery to share his passion for oil painting in the great outdoors.
