This fall Radio Gallery is in the field speaking with Minnesota artists in their own spaces, at shows, galleries and in their own studios. Lynn Speaker will be joining us this week from her studio in the Grain Belt Bottling House in Northeast Minneapolis.

Radio Gallery 10-24-2012 Lynn Speaker
Produced by: Maija Jenson
Speaker practices a very unique medium, using gun powder and fire to create her pieces. She was originally involved in charcoal drawing, but she ventured off to find different mediums and the effects they create, which eventually led her to this lethal medium. Speaker's next exhibit is the multi-media event, the "Grain Belt Holiday Gala," which will go from December 5th thru the 7th. The show will be featuring resident and visiting artists in the Grain Belt Bottling House, a historic studio building of the Northeast Minneapolis arts district. Tune in to hear Speaker go into depth about the gun powder process.
Listen all fall to hear artists from beginners to professionals in their own spaces.
