Radio Gallery 11-16-2011: Emily Herb and Tonya Borgeson
Herb and Borgeson join Radio Gallery to talk about their installation titled "Surfacing" that is on display through the month of November at Pizza Luce, located at 11 E Superior St # 100 in Duluth, MN. The title comes from dialogue the artists had during an experience they had while taking photographs together by a creek. Each artist presents different elements that ultimately exposes some level of the surface. It mixes "muddy, memory filled ideas" with "ethereal" qualities to create an atmosphere that provides a sense of familiarity. Their goal is to celebrate creativity, and lend to the sense of gathering and community at Pizza Luce by blending music, food, people, and art.
