Radio Gallery 08-17-2011: David Morrison
David Morrison, the founder of The Billboard Art Project, joins Radio Gallery this week to talk about the concept behind the project and how it all began. On Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 12 a.m. the billboard located at the intersection of E. Central Entrance and S. Blackman Avenue in Duluth, MN will take part in The Billboard Art Project. The digital billboard will be used as a canvas to display the work of artists for 48 hours of continuous art. The images rotate every ten seconds, allowing a diverse range of work to be shown to the viewing audience. It is used as a way to break away from a society overflowing with advertisements, and to present captivating images to those who drive by or decide to stop and enjoy the view.
