Radio Gallery 09-01-2010: Jessica Turtle and Andrew Swanson

This week Radio Gallery will be featuring Jessica Turtle and Andrew Swanson whose art is being exhibited starting Friday September 3rd at Washington Gallery which is located at 315 N. Lake Ave. Duluth, MN. This exhibit will include 2-D and 3-D art by Swanson and Turtle made through their collaborative efforts.

Radio Gallery 09-01-2010: Jessica Turtle and Andrew Swanson

Turtle and Swanson speak with Radio Gallery this week about their collaborative upcoming exhibit that will be taking place at Washington Gallery. The exhibit is called "She and Him" and features 2-D and 3-D art by both Turtle and Swanson. They share their ideas about how they gain inspiration from their daily lives, conversations, and dreams. They also share in what ways they have developed as artists by working on the show together. They share the ways that their different backgrounds, ideas, and experiences has helped them in organizing the exhibit and making the art that will be presented in the show. The exhibit will have an art opening on Friday September 3rd starting at 6 p.m. At 8 p.m. there will be a live performance by the Batteries. Washington Gallery is located at 315 N. Lake Ave.

Former Program Director, Maija Jenson teaches journalism in the Department of Communication at UMD and was a part of KUMD 2008-2019. She hosted a weekly arts program "Radio Gallery." She shares a lifetime of public radio listening, degrees in journalism and art and 20 years of public radio experience with KFAI, WHA, WSUM and KUMD.
