Wing Young Huie is a Duluth native and photographer who has an exhibition at the Duluth Art Institute called "Retrospective" that will be open until September 26th, 2010. He focuses on identity and diversity through his work that presents the landscapes of people and lifestyles of Minnesota and Minnesotans.

Huie speaks with Radio Gallery about his journey towards becoming a photographer, and his distinct way of approaching each shoot in order to achieve the complexity that each image portrays. He also shares the way he has come to, and continues to make a living as an artists with the rewards and challenges that come along with it. His photography projects a mirror of what our society is like and seeks to reveal who we are. Huie's exhibit at the Duluth Art Institute, called "Retrospective," will present his early life as a Chinese-American growing up in Duluth, and explore the identity and landscape within Minnesota.
