During the 2023 Duluth Homegrown Music Festival an unfamiliar fiddle player was suddenly appearing in multiple sets throughout the week, including
with his own project, Ponyfolk. Cliff Nesseth was that fiddle player, a recent arrival in Duluth who’s jumped headfirst into the local music community and is the
Arts and Cultural Events Coordinator at Duluth’s Nordic Center. He helped organize new-to-Duluth event, the Duluth- stämman Festival, featuring a weekend of Nordic music and dance. Nesseth and Sebastian Bloch, a guitarist from Denmark joined us in the studio on June 9th, 2023 to share some songs and we learned more about Bloch's musical background; both musicians were performing the following day at the festival.
